Successful ongoing projects
Erdenyn Erel has been in charge of the exploration of Steppe Gold, a leading gold producer in Mongolia, which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, since 2017. As part of this work, we are successfully carrying out geological, geophysical survey and diamond drilling at a high level of quality on the epithermal type ATO Gold-Silver-base metal deposit located in Dornod Province as well as Uudam Khundii gold project located in the territory of Bayan-Undur and Shinejinst Soums, Bayankhongor Province. Futhermore, a database of drilling and geochemical samples of the above-mentioned projects has been created on the Geobank program, providing reliable, integrated data guarantees.
Moreover, we have been responsible for the exploration of Ion Energy, a Toronto stock exchange listed company that is conducting brine-type lithium exploration for the first time in Mongolia. Lithium has sparked widespread interest in recent years.
Successfully implemented projects
Between 2006 and 2009, Erdenyn Erel served as the main contractor in Mongolia for Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold, the largest producer and miner of copper in the United States of America. Within the framework of this work, we have played an important role in conducting joint exploration work with Freeport’s funds on 5 exploration licenses owned by Erdenet Mining Corporation.
Between 2007 and 2008, Erdenyn Erel has carried out 1:50,000-scale geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and 300 line-kilometer electrical survey on Orvon Uul, Shand, and Ar Bulag prospects belonging to the Erdenet porphyry copper mineralization zone. A total of 7 holes totaling 2026 meters were drilled, and 688m @ 0.28% Cu mineralization was intersected in the PDWRC0705 hole drilled on the Shand prospect. This hole has triggered further exploration and resource estimation at the Shand prospect.
We have been carrying out exploration of the companies established and registered in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, Japan, and South Korea as a contractor.
We cooperated with Steppe Gold, Ion Energy, Aranjin Resources (Canada), Erdenet Mining Corporation (Mongolia), Xanadu Mines (Australia), Dia Consulting (Japan), Altan Rio (Australia), Erdene Resources (Canada), Freeport McMoran Copper and Gold (USA), Samtan Mores (Korea), East Asia Minerals (Canada), Zonge Enjeenering and Research Organization, Inc (USA), Cameco Mongolia (Canada), Hunnu Coal (Australia), Voyager Gold (Australia), Haranga Resources (Australia), Grand Montana (Hong Kong, China), Petro Matad (England), Capcorp Mongolia (Mongolia), and Rio Tinto (England).
